Enter the Fray: How RavenQuest Guild Wars Work
RavenQuest Guild Wars aren’t just any skirmish—they’re a high-stakes fight for territory, honor, and riches. Members and above can jump into these large-scale battles, where two guilds clash over four strategically placed towers and a central Golden Flag that can shift the tide of war.
To secure victory, coordinate with your teammates, capture and defend the towers, and seize the Golden Flag for bonus points. The first guild to reach 2,500 Victory Points claims the spoils of war and all the glory that comes with it!
Fueling the Campaign: Introducing the Guild Bank
No war is won with empty coffers, so let’s talk about financial strategy. The new Guild Bank System is your key to ensuring your guild always has the funds necessary for bold maneuvers and decisive victories.
- Contribute to Your Guild’s Growth: By depositing silver into the shared Guild Bank, you can support your guild even if you’re not the top fighter. Your contributions will always be visible, ensuring recognition for those who generously bolster the guild’s resources.
- Leaders Manage the Funds: While all members can contribute, only Leaders and Vice-Leaders can manage these shared funds, guaranteeing a stable and trustworthy system.
- Extra Earnings: Your guild also earns a 2% silver bonus from certain activities, like monster hunting, automatically added to the Guild Bank. It’s a cycle of growth and success that benefits everyone involved.
Preparing for Battle: The Bidding Phase
Before you step onto the battlefield, your guild must first prove its determination during the Bidding Phase. Here’s how it works:
- Contribute Silver to Bid: Each guild puts forth silver to place among the top 20 bidders—up to a maximum of 30—earning the right to participate in the Guild War.
- Placement Matters: The higher your guild’s rank in the bidding, the better the bonus you’ll receive during the war.
Once the bidding closes, if your guild has secured a spot, you’ll gain access to the war zone 30 minutes before the battle starts. This is the time to coordinate with your teammates, finalize your strategy, and mentally prepare for the onslaught ahead.
The Battlefield: Towers, Shrines, and the Golden Flag
When the main gates swing open, the fight for dominance begins. Your objectives include:
- Towers: Four towers, one in each corner of the battlefield, start neutral. Capturing a tower by claiming its Gray Banner changes its color to your guild’s hue. Each tower you control grants 5 points every 15 seconds. Keep a vigilant eye on these strategic objectives, as control can switch hands quickly.
- Golden Flag: At the center lies the coveted Golden Flag. Picking it up can be risky—if you’re defeated or use certain escape skills, you’ll drop it. Successfully delivering it to a tower scores your guild a hefty 50-point bonus. Winning or losing could depend on who holds that Golden Flag at the right moment.
- Respawns & Shrines: Dying is less punishing on this battlefield. Instead of suffering the usual penalties, you’ll respawn at one of the two shrines on your side. This streamlined approach ensures the action remains fast and furious.
Claiming the Spoils: Guild Wars Rewards
Victory or defeat, participating in a Guild War brings its own set of rewards. If your guild emerges triumphant, you’ll bask in prestige and pocket valuable loot—if not, there’s still a consolation prize for your effort. Rewards vary for participants and non-participants alike and scale with your guild’s placement in the bidding.
Participants:
- Winning Guild: 500 Gold (+20 Gold per placement on the Bidding) per participant
- Losing Guild: 200 Gold (+10 Gold per placement on the Bidding) per participant
Non-Participants:
- Winning Guild: 250 Gold (+10 Gold per placement on the Bidding) per player
- Losing Guild: 100 Gold (+5 Gold per placement on the Bidding) per player
